To some extent, this is a similar process to what is done for websites. One aspect that is important in both situations is properly chosen keywords. The goal is also similar.
With the help of ASO, you increase the visibility of your product. The positioning of a mobile app is simply to translate into as many users as possible using it. And with that, of course, comes the monetization of the product. Another analogy with traditional SEO is the essence of statistics related - in this case - to the mobile application. Their skillful reading allows, among other things, to correct certain steps with optimization. This can be, for example, reducing the cost of acquiring new users.
The two largest mobile app platforms. Suffice it to say that Google Play last year - 2021 - had more than 3 million apps. Not only is the number impressive, but it begs the question. How do you break through with your product? The beginning of the whole process is quite simple. Let's focus for a moment just on Google Play.
The platform requires you to fill in a few fields, which are not inconsiderable precisely in terms of positioning your mobile application. We start with the title. In the case of Google Play, it can be 50 characters long (with spaces). It is best to include the name of the app and keywords. The latter are supposed to define the performance of your product.
Another aspect is visual. The icon of the application. And this is actually a topic for a separate tutorial. About how to create the perfect visualization of the product that will attract users. The next two fields are a short (eighty characters with spaces) and a long (four hundred) description of the application. In the latter case, it is worth making maximum use of keywords.
They are often referred to as "off-site." They have a huge impact on mobile app positioning. It's the number of downloads and user feedback. That is - in principle - the latter aspect is influenced by you. And we're not talking about buying reviews here.
This is because how user interest and evaluation of a given product will be shaped depends on how the product looks. What we mean here is not so much its tasks (or functions), but its UI and UX. Clear design affects the perception of the application, and thus is also one of the factors that form an opinion about it. By the way, one more thing. It is worthwhile to enter into discussion in opinions. And here we do not mean a constant negation or proving that someone does not understand the idea of your product. Because the question in such a situation is whether the fault does not lie with the originator and execution of the application.
Can you position your mobile product yourself? Sure. Will outsourcing it to professionals - if you don't have the experience yourself - yield better results? It certainly will.
