What is a marketer’s job like?
Above all, it is a constant battle for what matters most to the company that employs you: the customer. These days, the battlefield is, of course, the internet. It has created new marketing challenges, but at the same time it has also provided the tools to overcome them.
The job of an effective marketer is – as you’ve probably guessed – to constantly ask questions. It is worth pointing out a certain risk associated with this. If, as time goes on, more and more key questions arise, it means you are probably on the wrong track. In this situation, you should review your actions and make well-considered changes.

What does brainstorming look like during a project?
First and foremost, if it is carried out properly, it delivers results. It reveals uncharted horizons and enables those involved in marketing or sales to tap into their full potential. We allow ourselves a touch of madness in our ideas, as this helps us to unleash our creativity. We then select from the list of ideas those that best serve our purpose and are within our means to implement.
An effective marketer is someone who, using this set of solutions, will be able to develop and implement a promotional strategy. Before you discover the seven questions mentioned in the title – which will tell you a great deal about the state of your company’s marketing – there is one more point to consider. Something that must not be overlooked under any circumstances. The most important thing. The mother of all marketing questions. Who is our customer? If, at any point, you notice that your efforts aren’t delivering the desired results, it’s worth returning to this question. And answering it once again.

Seven questions for effective marketing
And what sort of questions indicate that our marketing is falling short? They could certainly include the following:
▶️ Why do customers buy so little from us, even though we have a strong online presence? #leadgeneration
▶️ Should we spend more, taking on a level of risk commensurate with our financial outlay, or rely solely on performance-based models?
▶️ Should we focus on short-term sales or on long-term metrics? #performance-based-marketing
▶️ Should we build our own marketing department or outsource all or selected activities to a digital agency?
▶️Should we completely overhaul our creative content and list of keywords in our PPC campaigns? #PPC
▶️What other external monitoring tools can we implement to improve our results?
▶️Why is the competition still ahead of us and achieving better results than we are?
And what questions do you ask yourselves, and what would you like to change? What does marketing look like in your company, and what criteria do you use when deciding on the direction of your marketing activities?
We invite you to join the discussion and, of course, to brainstorm. We’ve set up a dedicated email address for this purpose: intouch@internetstars.pl
